Cynthia Lost her Knickers…

Cynthia lost her knickers.
but she can’t imagine how.
She had them at the Club “Nautique”.
But doesn’t have them now.
Good thing her frock is rather long.
and goes down past her knees
She wouldn’t want to show the goods
in this September breeze.
She took the tram, she walked a bit.
She even took the bus.
That’s quite a ways to do without
'fore having lunch with us.
Funny how we feel secure with
just a scrap against our body.
and without a pair we start to feel
that somehow we are naughty.
If you should see a puddle
of sprigged polyester blue.
it’s better just to turn your head,
pretend you never knew.
There’s not a shadow of a doubt
that Cynthia has brass.
But even she’s going home to change
before her Bible class.
Ps. I wrote this last summer...most of it is true.
